Hungary is awesome. Well, all the characters in Hetalia are awesome, really.
Originally, this was supposed to be one half of an image with Prussia and Hungary, but the work I'd done on Prussia was lost after the computer reformatting. I got the JPEG of the finished Hungary back though, off a friend I'd sent it to, and well, here it is! I might just go and redo Prussia though, 'cause this pairing doesn't get enough love.
Lately, it seems like my favourite pairings have been getting a rise in popularity (KoreaChina, SpainRomano...). Maybe this one will too...? 8DDD
Her hair looks neatly colored and the shading on her clothes seems nice and subtle.
I think one of her eyes is a bit too high, though.
Overall the pose makes her look like she will fall over. Perhaps it wouldn't seem so if her foot (of the leg that is bending) wasn't placed so far to the left. Her front foot seems to be unaturally angled to the side; it might not look as strange if her other leg was matched to mirror it or if her foot pointed a little more to the right.
It also bothers me that her hiding arm seems to be too short when taking into consideration that she is holding a pan.
Thank you. I honestly wasn't sure about the colouring when I did it but it seems like it turned out alright.
With the eye, I was trying to give her an irked sort of look by having one of her cheeks higher. I think I ended up making it the same size as the other though so it came to be higher... ._.;
Ah, about the arm, I really have no excuse except for that when I noticed it, I'd already finished the lineart and it was a hassle to change it - which, really, isn't much of an excuse at all. I didn't notice about the pose though. Looking at it again, I see what you mean.
Anyway, thanks for pointing that all out! Not many people really take the time to provide criticism, so I'm glad you did.
Hooray for the (very few) Hetalia female characters! 8D You've made Hungary look especially awesome here. I don't know much about her, since I've only been following the anime version of Hetalia, but she seems like quite the character! XD
I ADORE her expression by the way. And it's a shame that you lost the Prussia portion of the image! D: (Though atleast you were able to retrieve this part of it! X3)
